Reference Tools · Agency Ticket Directory
What it does
“Who sells to Fannie, Freddie, and Ginnie — and how much do they deliver?” Seller identity is derived from HMDA’s purchaser field and joined to the CFPB legal-name registry — 99.6% name coverage on the modern active universe.
What’s in it:
- Seller × agency × year fact history — one row per lender / agency / year across 2007–2025, ~3,800 lenders lifetime, with loan counts and delivered UPB. The canonical grain for time-series cuts.
- Active-agency directory — a wide summary of every lender that delivered ≥1 loan to any agency in the last 3 years. 1,974 active lenders, with active-flag columns per agency and legal name attached.
- Alias / respondent-ID bridge — the pre-2018 HMDA respondent IDs are reconciled to modern LEIs, so a lookup on a legacy name resolves to the right modern ticket.
Sample questions this answers in one click:
- “List all lenders that delivered to Freddie in 2024.”
- “Top 20 Fannie sellers by 2025 UPB.”
- “Which lenders are on Ginnie but not Fannie’s roster?”
- “How has UWM’s Fannie share evolved 2020–2025?”
Who finds this useful: capital-markets and secondary teams building seller / correspondent target lists; competitive intelligence on who your peers deliver to; anyone keeping an internal seller list canonical.
Coverage caveat: HMDA records the agency purchaser only when a loan sold in its origination year. Portfolio-hold-then-sell- later shows as retained and doesn’t appear here (<5% coverage gap, mostly community banks with delayed disposition). This is an activity-weighted list — who is live in the market — not the formal approved-seller roster (which includes dormant tickets). Both framings are legitimate; this one is more useful.
